1 Who This Policy Covers
This policy applies to all users of the Guardian AI app, including:
- Employees and workers at client companies who use the App on the job
- Supervisors and safety personnel who manage job data within the App
- Company administrators authorized to access the App
Client companies (such as oilfield and construction contractors) access Guardian AI through a business agreement with ID Resources LLC. Their employees' data is processed on behalf of the client company in accordance with this policy.
2 Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information when you use Guardian AI:
Account Information
- Email address (used to create and authenticate your account)
- Password (stored securely via Firebase Authentication — we never see your plaintext password)
- Display name or role associated with your account
Job & Safety Data
- Field tickets, job site records, and work orders you create in the App
- Job Safety Analysis (JSA) documents generated or saved in the App
- Hazard identification records and incident reports
- Inspection records (equipment, vehicles, job site)
Photos & Media
- Photos you capture or upload through the Guardian Vision feature
- Photos are used to provide AI-powered safety analysis and are stored in Firebase Storage
AI Conversation Data
- Text messages and photo inputs you send through the Guardian Vision AI chat feature
- These inputs are transmitted to Anthropic's Claude AI API for processing in order to generate safety recommendations
Device & Technical Information
- Basic device information needed to operate the App (iOS/Android version, device type)
- App usage data used to maintain and improve performance
3 How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect solely to operate and improve Guardian AI:
- To authenticate your identity and maintain your account
- To create, store, and retrieve your job safety records and field tickets
- To power AI safety analysis through the Guardian Vision feature
- To generate Job Safety Analysis documents, hazard identifications, and incident reports
- To enable supervisors to review and manage team safety records
- To improve the App's performance and fix technical issues
- To communicate with you about your account or the App if necessary
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.
4 Third-Party Services We Use
Guardian AI relies on the following third-party services to function. Each has its own privacy practices:
Firebase (Google LLC)
We use Firebase Authentication to manage user accounts and Firebase Firestore to store job and safety data. Firebase Storage is used to store photos. Firebase is a Google product governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
Anthropic (Claude AI API)
When you use the Guardian Vision feature, your text messages and photos are sent to Anthropic's Claude AI for safety analysis. Anthropic processes this data to generate responses. Anthropic's privacy practices are described at anthropic.com/privacy.
We do not share your data with any other third parties except as required by law.
5 Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored in Firebase (Google Cloud infrastructure) with industry-standard security measures including encrypted transmission (TLS) and secure authentication. We take reasonable steps to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.
However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6 Data Retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the App's services to your employer. If you or your employer terminates access to Guardian AI, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us at the email address below.
7 Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to your employer's data retention requirements)
- Contact us with any questions or concerns about how your data is handled

8 Children's Privacy
Guardian AI is intended for use by working adults in industrial and construction environments. The App is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.
9 Camera & Photo Library Access
Guardian AI requests access to your device's camera and photo library solely to enable the Guardian Vision photo analysis feature. Photos are only accessed when you explicitly choose to take or upload a photo within the App. We do not access your camera or photos at any other time.
10 Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
